One of the features of Skardu that make us all proud of our country is that it is the base for the 2nd tallest mountain in the entire world-The Killer Mountain 'K2'. Adding on to the remarkable accomplishment of our proud Pakistani, Ali Sadpara, who marked the history.

Ali Sadpara successfully summited K2, the world’s second-highest peak, multiple times. His notable ascent was part of the historic winter expedition in 2021, where he reached the summit alongside two other climbers. He is remembered for his contributions to high-altitude climbing and his role in promoting mountaineering in Pakistan.
