Batakundi is situated in the northern areas of Pakistan, specifically in the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It lies along the famous Naran-Kaghan Valley route.
Batakundi offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lush forests, and clear rivers, making it a picturesque spot for nature lovers.
Batakundi is known as a stop in the heavens because it is a place where you can stop and get soothed by the views right next to the river in isolation. It is a place between Islamabad and all the places ahead of the Babusar top like Hunza, Skardu and Astore which is why many people divide their journey by taking a stop there. Most people take a break in Naran or Kaghan, two valleys behind Batakundi, but i would prefer you to take a stop in Batakundi, since Naran and Kaghan are over populated valleys now due to construction of several hotels and the huge dam. There you can also see the result of the world famous Pak-China friendship!
Hotel suggestion: D-Rose Wood (to know details click here)
It is an economical hotel with the best rates, not just that but you can go down to the river from a rough alley infront of the hotel or try to go and find the source of the hidden waterfall on a walking distance from D-Rose.
