• Ratti Gali Lake: A beautiful glacial lake perfect for trekking and photography.

• Nanga Parbat Base Camp/ Rupal Face : An incredible trekking destination for adventure enthusiasts to the 8th tallest mountain of the world which has burried many expert hikers specially from France. You must have heard about the Fairy Meadows which are now overrrated and over populated. However, this is the back of the fairy meadows which is still kept in its original beauty. It is undiscovered, yet amazing for people who love to tick their achievments!

• Deosai National Park: Known for its unique wildlife with brown Himalayan bears roaming around and vast plains, it’s a paradise for nature lovers, the Sheosar lake mentioned in Skardu's features can also be visited from Astore, via Chillim and deosai.

• Rama Meadows and Rama lake:Astore features one of the prettiest meadows of Pakistan, absolutely perfect for camping along with the captivating view of the Rama lake right infront of the peaks of Nanga Parbat covered with snow throughout the year.

Astore is home to diverse cultures and traditions, offering a glimpse into the local way of life. Astore is a hidden gem waiting to be explored, perfect for adventure seekers and nature lovers alike!

One place which has been going wild on the travellers' wishlist is Minimarg located in Astore, ahead of Chillim on a 3-4 hour jeep trekk from Astore valley.

1. The valley is home to the Balti people, known for their rich traditions and warm hospitality. Visitors can engage with locals, discover their crafts, and taste traditional dishes, such as mawa (a type of cheese) and thukpa (noodle soup).
2. Throughout Minimarg, you’ll find motivational quotes and murals created by the Pakistan Army, promoting peace, resilience, and unity. These messages not only inspire travelers but also reflect the spirit of the community. Our proud soldiers cross Minimarg everytime when they have to stand at the border next to Minimarg that touches India (specifically Kargil).
3. Rainbow Lake, mesmerizing lake is famous for its striking array of colors, which shift throughout the day, creating a magical atmosphere that draws photographers and nature lovers alike. It is also said that one of the most expensive breed of fish, the rainbow trout, is the only type of fish living in the lake.
4. Ratti Gali Lake is a breathtaking glacial lake known for its crystal-clear blue waters, surrounded by dramatic peaks. It’s a perfect spot for trekking, fishing, and enjoying the serene surroundings.
5. The army checkpost in Minimarg is known as te prettiest army checkpost of Pakistan.
